About the Role

Be at the Heart of a School Where Great Organisation Makes a Real Difference.

Bluebank School is looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Administrator Lead to take the lead on the day-to-day running of our school office.

This is much more than a traditional administration role. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for the Headteacher, colleagues, students, families and professionals, helping ensure that the systems and processes behind school life run smoothly, accurately and efficiently.

From coordinating admissions and student reviews to supporting recruitment, examinations, finance and school operations, you’ll enjoy real variety and responsibility. You’ll need to be someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, spot what needs doing and keep important tasks moving while maintaining discretion and attention to detail.

If you’re an experienced administrator who enjoys being the person others can rely on, this could be an opportunity to use your skills in a role with real purpose.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day administration of the school office, prioritising workloads and ensuring key deadlines are met
  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Headteacher, including correspondence, meetings, minutes, reports and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate referrals, admissions and student review processes, including EHCP Annual Reviews and relevant case conferences
  • Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for families, visitors, Local Authorities and other professionals
  • Support safer recruitment and HR administration, including interviews, required checks, staff records, absence, induction and training information
  • Coordinate examination administration, including entries, timetables, awarding body communications, invigilation arrangements, results and certificates
  • Support school finance and purchasing processes, including purchase orders, invoices, expenses and financial records
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records while supporting inspections, audits, safeguarding processes and the smooth operation of the wider school

About You

You’ll be a confident and experienced administrator who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and keeping a busy environment organised.

You’ll bring:

  • GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
  • Relevant administrative experience and a good understanding of office systems and procedures
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The confidence to work independently, use initiative and coordinate a varied administrative workload
  • Professional discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • A welcoming and professional approach when communicating with students, families, colleagues and external professionals
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and supporting young people with SEMH and other special educational needs
  • A full UK driving licence
