Hokuto USA is seeking a Wiring Technician to support automotive manufacturing equipment.

This position is responsible for a broad range of wiring-related work, including in-house wiring for control panels, field boxes, and jigs, as well as on-site cable installation, termination, and equipment startup support at customer facilities.

We are seeking a candidate with extensive hands-on experience who performs wiring, electrical assembly, and on-site installation work directly, rather than serving in a supervisory role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Covered

Typical equipment includes:

• Robotic welding and material handling (matehan) systems

• Welding jigs and other automated manufacturing equipment

• Turntables, trunnion tables, and transfer systems

2. In-House Work (Jig Wiring and Box Assembly)

• Manage materials and tools used for assigned projects

• Perform work based on electrical drawings (electrical schematics, control panel drawings, field box drawings, I/O drawings, cable drawings, wiring instructions, etc.) and related technical documentation

• Wire jigs

• Assemble and wire control panels and field boxes

3. On-Site Installation and Startup Support (New Installation and Modification Work in Robot Cells)

• Install cable trays, lay cables, and terminate cables within the cell

• Wire robot-associated cabling

• Assist with wiring verification and adjustment for PLCs, HMIs, communication systems, I/O, and safety devices

• Assist with checking manual and auto operation of cylinders, motors, robots, and other equipment

• Isolate and resolve wiring issues

• Support production startup and cycle-time adjustment

4. Quality, Safety, and Reporting

• Comply with internal quality standards for wiring work

• Comply with on-site safety rules

• Report work progress to supervisors and assigned engineers

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience in wiring work for industrial or manufacturing equipment across any industry, or equivalent hands-on capability

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)

• Hands-on experience wiring control panels, field boxes, and jigs

• Proficient in cable termination and connection techniques

• Ability to adapt to variable travel schedules based on project needs

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wiring for automotive welding lines, robot cells, material handling systems, and similar equipment

• Experience with on-site installation and on-site wiring work

• Experience providing work instructions to external wiring contractors and coordinating on-site work

• Basic knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, servo motors, and related equipment

Work Location

Work may be performed at:

• Hokuto USA

• Customer sites in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Work location may vary depending on project requirements.

Travel Requirements

• Travel frequency will vary depending on project requirements

• Weekend, holidays, night shift, and extended-hour work may be required during equipment startup, commissioning, and production support.
