Quality Coordinator

Position Summary

The Quality Coordinator supports quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process by inspecting incoming materials, monitoring in-process production, and verifying finished products before shipment.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, dependable individual who takes pride in doing the job right, maintains accurate records, and has the confidence to identify and communicate quality concerns in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Use calipers, tape measures, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and specifications.
• Document inspection results, measurements, and nonconformances accurately.
• Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Communicate quality issues to production, engineering, and site leadership.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support internal audits and ISO 9001/ISO 14001 compliance.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready quality records.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1-3 years of experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in a custom or high-mix manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic measurement and inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate quality concerns when necessary.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.

Preferred Experience

• ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
• Root cause analysis, 5-Why, or CAPA.
• ERP or quality management software.
• Packaging, woodworking, plastics, or multi-material manufacturing.
• Lean or Six Sigma principles.

Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, kneel, grip, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
