Overview
The Embassy of the State of Kuwait is seeking a talented and dedicated Cook/Chef. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Middle Eastern and Arab Gulf cuisine, with the ability to prepare a variety of international dishes, including Asian and Italian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality meals for daily dining, events and special occasions.
- Prepare authentic Arab gulf and Middle Eastern dishes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards.
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and health considerations.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Education
- Culinary degree or equivalent training in a relevant field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional culinary experience.
- Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a private household or high-end restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern and Arab Gulf cuisine; knowledge of other international cuisines is an asset
Language
- Must be fluent in English
- Arabic is an asset
Requirements
- Food safety certification is preferred.
- Additional culinary certifications are an asset.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to work in a private residential environment
