Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Pay: $60,000-$70,000/year

About the Role

We're seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our gastroenterology practice on a part-time basis. You'll be part of a collaborative care team supporting a busy GI practice, working under physician supervision.

Schedule

• 20 hours/week
• Days/hours to be arranged based on practice needs and candidate availability
• May include occasional holidays, evenings, or weekend coverage as needed for patient care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical services within GI specialty scope
• Provide patient care and perform all related and derivative clinical duties, under the supervision of a physician
• Provide consults to requesting physicians
• Maintain timely, accurate medical and billing records; review billings under your name/provider number and flag errors
• Participate in compliance programs and administrative/medical education duties as assigned
• Cooperate with billing/compliance requirements tied to payor contracts (HMOs, PPOs, IPAs, MSOs, etc.)

Compensation

• $60,000-$70,000/year, prorated for part-time (20 hours/week)
• Payment frequency biweekly

Required Certifications & Qualifications

1. National Certification - Current NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification through AANP or ANCC (NP).
2. California License - Must be licensed or become licensed to practice as a PA or NP in California.
3. NPI Number - Must have an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) for billing and provider identification purposes.
