Pediatric Surgeon Locum Tenens Opportunity Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment with a well-established pediatric surgery practice in Richmond, Virginia.

Practice Details
  • Pediatric surgery practice caring for patients from newborns through adolescence
  • Clinic coverage Monday Friday
  • Shared inpatient and call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR
Schedule
  • Clinic: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Night Call: Monday Friday, 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
  • Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage
Responsibilities
  • Outpatient clinic and surgical consultations
  • Rounding on admitted patients
  • Weekend surgical consults as needed
  • Emergency Department consults (approximately 0 2 calls per day)
  • Low-volume emergent surgery program
  • Average patient volume: 0 4 patients per day
Call Requirements
  • 15-minute maximum callback time for emergency consults
  • 30-minute maximum response time
Requirements
  • Board Certified Pediatric Surgery
  • Active BLS Certification
  • Active PALS Certification
  • Active Virginia license preferred
