Nurse Practitioners play a vital role in providing specialty care within small healthcare teams of 1-5 practitioners. They hold significant responsibility in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, operating with a level of autonomy that includes independent practice under physician supervision. This role demands strong clinical judgment and effective collaboration to deliver quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health status and medical histories
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various conditions
  • Manage and prescribe medications appropriately
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Proficiency in patient assessment and electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong communication skills
