MIG Welder (1st & 3rd Shift)

Mig Welder Location: Newport News, VA Shift: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM OR 3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday, 11 PM - 7 AM Type: Contract to Hire About the company: Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast. About the Job: In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet strict quality standards, safety regulations, and technical specifications. The MIG welder will Fit and Weld sheet metal parts to the specifications of each job, and ensure they meet the outlined requirements. Specifications are gathered from work orders, customer drawings, sample parts, and/or completed assemblies. Materials to be welded are .060 thick to 1/4 thick. MUST have experience with light gauge material. Responsibilities: - Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using MIG and TIG processes - Examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with calipers, straightedges, templates, etc., to ensure conformance with specifications; - Welding separately or in combination, using steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys; Using clamps to fit work pieces together accurately; - Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding; - Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance Benefits: - Medical Insurance - Dental Insurance - Paid time off - Holiday Pay Disclaimer: By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
