Location: Venice, FL
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM
Compensation: $28.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience and electrical testing scores
Overtime: Occasional overtime as business needs require

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Venice. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, a desire to continue developing into higher-level maintenance roles, and hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.

This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to work independently while also supporting and training technicians with less experience. What You'll Be Doing

• Perform all work in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair equipment within assigned areas.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues and assist with determining appropriate repairs and corrective actions.
• Perform technical maintenance tasks independently or under the guidance of higher-level maintenance personnel as appropriate.
• Maintain plant utilities, including lighting, water systems, drainage systems, and related facility infrastructure.
• Complete all assigned work orders accurately and thoroughly, documenting work performed, equipment status, repairs completed, and other pertinent information.
• Complete Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) documentation and Proteus entries as required for maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain open, timely, and accurate communication with maintenance team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Provide information necessary to maintain appropriate parts and maintenance supply inventories.
• Read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings when troubleshooting or completing repairs.
• Safely operate and utilize diagnostic equipment, power tools, and other maintenance-related equipment.
• Assist with training and providing technical guidance to maintenance technicians with lower skill or experience levels.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance technicians, leads, supervisors, and outside contractors to complete repairs, projects, installations, and facility improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, safety, and maintenance processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment , with a strong level of mechanical and electrical knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Must demonstrate the technical knowledge and skill necessary to work independently and provide guidance or training to technicians with less experience.
• Technical or Trade School degree preferred; an equivalent combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and relevant maintenance experience will be considered.
• Basic understanding of industrial electricity, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Working knowledge of utility equipment energy sources, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. PLC experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain plant utilities, including lighting, water systems, drainage systems, and related infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to ohm meters, voltage meters, and other testing devices.
• Basic knowledge and safe operation of power tools and equipment, including drills, cut-off saws, demolition saws, and similar maintenance tools.
• Basic understanding of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) processes, documentation requirements, and Proteus maintenance management systems.
• Thorough understanding of and commitment to OSHA regulations and company safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other maintenance safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently when directed and effectively prioritize assigned maintenance activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information and assist with training less-experienced technicians.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or Trade School degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout a manufacturing facility may be required.
• Ability to safely operate and work around industrial equipment and maintenance tools.
