• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to established standards of care
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and patient needs

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with JCAHO standards and state Nurse Practice Act
• Experience mentoring or supervising nursing assistants and support staff
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse resident populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare environment

Other Requirements:

• Must have an active MI iCHAT account and be authorized to schedule fingerprinting
• Flexibility with scheduling, as blocked scheduling cannot be promised or guaranteed at this time
• Ability to travel to various care facilities if needed
• Commitment to maintaining licensure, certifications, and ongoing professional development
