Low Voltage Technician

The Low Voltage Technician will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems entirely focused on commercial installations. This position involves the wiring and conduit installation of CAT and fiber optic cabling and other low voltage components, supporting infrastructure. The technician will report to the Operations Manager and may be required to travel occasionally to various job sites. Proficiency with multimeters, testing tools, drills, saws, and scissor lifts is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring and conduit for low voltage systems
• Handle CAT and fiber optic cabling installations
• Utilize multimeters and testing tools to verify system functionality
• Operate drills, saws, and scissor lifts safely and effectively
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager for project execution
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations on all job sites
• Occasionally travel long distance to installation sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in low voltage systems, not required though.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skilled in cable testing and electrical wiring
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of safety standards in electrical work
• Effective time management capabilities
• Must be willing to ask questions and accept direction. Our customers have specific standards that must be adhered to.
