Lead Man

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings.
• Install and repair underground utility piping according to plans and specifications.
• Install water services, water mains, sewer mains, sewer laterals, and force mains.
• Operate excavation and construction equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators and other heavy equipment.
• Perform excavation, trenching, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Identify and address field conditions that may affect the installation.
• Work safely around existing underground utilities and follow all applicable safety requirements.
• Perform general labor and other construction duties as needed.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility pipe installation.
• Proven experience installing:
• • Water services
  • Water mains
  • Sewer mains
  • Sewer laterals
  • Force mains
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility drawings.
• Experience operating excavators and other construction equipment.
• Knowledge of proper trenching, excavation, pipe installation, bedding, and backfilling procedures.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding construction work.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as with a crew.
