Location: Harlan, IA
Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Onsite Position Must Currently Live Within 30 Miles of Harlan

MMC Group is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to weld, fit, assemble, and repair metal components for a manufacturing team in Harlan, IA.

You must have TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel and be able to read blueprints.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG weld fabricated metal components.
• TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel to specifications.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan and complete fabrication tasks.
• Position, align, fit, tack-weld, and assemble metal parts.
• Use welding equipment, grinders, torches, and fabrication tools.
• Perform plasma arc and oxy-acetylene cutting and fabrication.
• Inspect welds and finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Repair or rework components as needed.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Required Qualifications

• Currently reside within 30 miles of Harlan, IA.
• Hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• TIG welding experience with both aluminum and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

Preferred Experience

• 2-5 years of welding experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Welding certification or technical school training.
• Plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene, fitting, and assembly experience.
• Weld inspection or quality control experience.

Work Environment

This hands-on manufacturing role requires standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, handling metal components, and working in various welding positions. Employees work around machinery and fabrication tools and must follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment. Moderate noise and occasional exposure to welding fumes and airborne particles are part of the environment.
