Fabricator/Welder

Welder / Fabricator / Pipe Fitter IMMEC is seeking experienced Welders, Fabricators, and Pipe Fitters to join our Industrial Services team. We are looking for safety-focused individuals with strong fabrication and welding skills who take pride in producing quality work. Candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred. Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding
  • Fabricate structural steel, sheet metal, and miscellaneous metals
  • Perform pipe fitting, joining, and related fabrication work
  • Fabricate stairs, risers, handrails, platforms, mezzanines, ductwork, and other components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and weld materials according to project requirements
  • Operate shop equipment, including shears, presses, CNC saws, and plasma tables
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, or related industrial experience preferred
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools, including calipers and tape measures
  • Working knowledge of metals, materials, and fabrication techniques
  • Experience operating fabrication and shop equipment
  • Strong math and measurement skills
  • Ability to accurately lay out, fit, and fabricate components
  • Ability to safely lift and handle materials associated with the position
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational training or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification through company-provided training
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork
