Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

Mobile Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Mulberry, FL.

We are looking for a hands-on mechanical candidate with experience taking industrial equipment apart, identifying worn or damaged components, completing repairs, and properly reassembling equipment. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, seals, and mechanical assemblies. This position is best suited for someone whose background is centered on mechanical repair and rebuilding, rather than primarily electrical, PLC, robotics, or automated-system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, rebuild, and reassemble industrial mechanical equipment.
• Perform hands-on repairs and rebuilds of pumps and gearboxes.
• Remove, inspect, replace, and install bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, and related mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment failures and determine necessary repairs.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, alignment issues, and other mechanical problems.
• Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and appropriate measuring instruments to complete repairs.
• Read and follow mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications as needed.
• Ensure repaired equipment is properly assembled and ready for operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Millwright, Equipment Mechanic, or similar hands-on mechanical role.
• Experience rebuilding or repairing industrial pumps and/or gearboxes strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with bearings and bearing assemblies.
• Knowledge of shafts, seals, couplings, gears, and other mechanical components.
• Ability to disassemble equipment, determine the cause of mechanical failure, and properly rebuild/reassemble components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable using mechanic's hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
