We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Machinist to join an aerospace manufacturing team specializing in precision-machined components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Swiss-style CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet strict aerospace specifications. This position requires strong blueprint-reading skills, knowledge of precision measuring instruments, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while following quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and adjust Swiss CNC machines to manufacture precision aerospace components.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet required dimensions and quality standards.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
  • Work with engineers, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve machining and production issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and aerospace quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine machine maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience setting up and operating Swiss CNC machines.
  • Experience machining precision components in a manufacturing environment; aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of CNC tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with aerospace materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or other specialty alloys.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems, including AS9100.
  • Experience with CNC programming or editing G-code.
  • Knowledge of first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle small precision components.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.

Interested candidates should have hands-on Swiss CNC machining experience and a strong understanding of precision manufacturing.
