The ideal candidate has experience with managing and leading a BOH team, has familiarity with a range of cuisine, excels in a fast paced kitchen and enjoys creative opportunities. Responsibilities:
- Manage scheduling for BOH staff, communicate to upper management when issues arrive
- Update inventory, place orders, maintain P & L reports, keep appropriate margins
- Work with owners to create items for special events, updated menu options, etc.
- Supervise and delegate prep tasks/cleaning side work to other team members
- Maintain and continue to improve upon all food safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years previous experience preferred
- Certification from culinary school preferred
- NYC Food Handler's Certification
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Bilingual Spanish & English preferred
- Full Availability including weekends and holidays (closed most Mondays, Thanksgiving and Christmas)
