CNC Machinist / Programmer (5-Axis)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining large structural steel fabrications, including setup, programming, operation, and routine maintenance on 5-axis CNC mills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform setups, changeovers, and run complex parts on 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering prints, GD&T, and complex technical drawings.
• Work with tight tolerances on large steel weldments and fabrications.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly and fitting as needed.
• Troubleshoot G-code, tooling issues, and machining parameters independently.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Machinists Background: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC mills.
• Technical Credentials: Journeyman Machinist certification, trade apprenticeship completion, or Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent hands-on trade experience).
• Blueprint & Tooling Literacy: Demonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances, GD&T, complex weldments, and heavy steel fabrications.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, manoeuvre around heavy machinery, and handle large steel setups safely.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
