Our client is seeking a Construction QA Manager to join their team. As a Construction QA Manager, you will be part of the Quality & Assurance team supporting site quality execution across a major industrial manufacturing megaproject in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership in quality program management, proven contractor oversight experience, and the ability to drive audits, surveillance, and documentation readiness across the project lifecycle.

What's the Job?

  • Lead the site quality program for a large-scale industrial manufacturing facility from project inception through construction, commissioning support, startup readiness, and final turnover.
  • Manage quality personnel and contractor quality organizations, ensuring quality requirements are understood, implemented, and sustained across all phases.
  • Develop and execute project quality plans, surveillance programs, audits, inspections, and reporting systems that align with engineering requirements and Tesla quality standards.
  • Oversee non-conformance management (NCRs), including identification, investigation, tracking, resolution, and driving corrective and preventative actions to address systemic issues.
  • Review and approve quality documentation and turnover packages, including inspection records and testing documentation, to support commissioning readiness and final turnover.

What's Needed?

  • 7+ years of experience in quality, construction, engineering, commissioning, or industrial project environments, with leadership ownership of quality execution.
  • Prior experience as a Quality Manager, QA Manager, Site Quality Manager, Construction Quality Manager, Commissioning Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage large-scale quality programs, including audits, surveillance, inspections, and quality assessments.
  • Strong contractor oversight experience, including influencing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
  • Experience managing quality documentation, turnover readiness, and NCR workflows, with a focus on clear communication and measurable quality outcomes.
