Underground Superintendent

We are looking for an experienced Underground Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee underground electrical installations on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate has strong field leadership skills, extensive underground electrical experience, and the ability to manage crews, production, safety, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate underground electrical crews and subcontractors
• Oversee installation of underground electrical systems, including conduit, duct banks, manholes, vaults, grounding, and related infrastructure
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and site plans
• Coordinate daily manpower, equipment, materials, and jobsite activities
• Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and production goals
• Monitor quality of work and ensure installations meet project specifications and electrical codes
• Work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades
• Conduct daily jobsite planning and communicate progress, challenges, and manpower needs
• Identify potential jobsite issues and develop solutions to keep the project moving
• Enforce company and jobsite safety policies
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and documentation
• Train, direct, and hold field personnel accountable for productivity, quality, and safety
• Assist with material takeoffs, equipment planning, and project coordination as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical field experience, with significant underground electrical experience
• Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, General Foreman, or Foreman
• Strong knowledge of underground electrical construction
• Experience with conduit installation, duct banks, trenching, excavation, grounding, and underground distribution systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Knowledge of OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of project responsibilities
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center, industrial, commercial, or utility construction experience
• Experience managing large underground electrical crews
• OSHA 30 certification
• Electrical license or relevant electrical certifications
• Experience with large-scale conduit and duct-bank installations
• Experience working with General Contractors and on complex, multi-phase projects
