Welding + blueprint reading + fitting + fabrication.

We are looking for experienced structural steel workers who have experience with:

• Structural steel welding
• • MIG / FCAW / stick welding
  • Welding beams, columns, plates, angles, etc.
  • 1/8" 7024 welding rod experience is a plus
• Reading structural steel blueprints
• • Read architectural and structural drawings
  • Understand dimensions, elevations and details
  • Read shop drawings and erection drawings
  • Understand beam/column locations and connections
• Steel fabrication
• • Measuring and laying out steel
  • Cutting and fitting steel
  • Drilling holes
  • Fitting beams, columns, plates, angles and tubing
  • Using fabrication tools and equipment
• Crane operation
• • Experience operating overhead cranes
  • Experience with construction/site cranes is a plus
  • Safely rigging and moving structural steel
  • Knowledge of proper lifting procedures
• Bobcat operation
• • Experience operating a Bobcat/skid steer
  • Moving steel and materials around the jobsite
  • Loading/unloading materials
• Hi-Lo / Forklift operation
• • Experience operating a Hi-Lo/forklift
  • Loading and unloading steel
  • Moving steel safely around the shop and jobsite
• Structural steel erection
• • Setting beams and columns
  • Bolting connections
  • Aligning steel
  • Working from erection drawings
  • Experience working at heights
• Rigging
• • Chains, slings and shackles
  • Properly rigging beams and columns
  • Signaling crane operators
  • Understanding load safety
