Job Title: Assembler I

Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Location: East Providence, RI area
Duration: Temp to Perm
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an Assembler I to support a manufacturing operation by performing product assembly, inspection, testing, packaging, and basic equipment operation. This position follows established procedures and work instructions to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform assigned production tasks while following established procedures and work instructions.
• Operate basic production equipment and tools as required.
• Assemble, package, label, and process products according to specifications.
• Accurately complete production records and other required documentation.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify products meet established quality requirements.
• Check finished and partially assembled products for dimensional and cosmetic characteristics.
• Perform rework on products when necessary and assist with resolving quality concerns.
• Assist with equipment setup, basic calibration, and routine maintenance activities as needed.
• Communicate production or quality concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Participate in process improvement efforts and provide feedback regarding production methods or potential issues.
• Cross-train in other production areas and provide support as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all workplace safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience using scales or measurement equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for workplace and safety purposes.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, assembling, and manipulating materials and components.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
• Ability to walk throughout the production area as needed.
• Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
• May occasionally be exposed to moving equipment, airborne particles, vibration, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
• Moderate workplace noise may be present.
• Required personal protective equipment must be worn in designated production areas.
