Our client is a family-owned industrial electrical and automation company that has been serving customers since 1976. They specialize in industrial automation, motor control, power distribution, and custom-engineered control assemblies.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Assembly Tech to join their manufacturing team. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, small parts assembly, manufacturing, or production who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Full-Time
Location: Fenton, MO
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Responsibilities of the Assembly Tech:

• Assemble small mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Assemble electrical control panels and industrial equipment
• Install and wire electrical components such as relays, terminal blocks, switches, and other control devices
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
• Operate winding equipment to manually wind coils, wire, and other materials as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work orders
• Use measuring devices and testing equipment to verify dimensions and product performance
• Inspect completed assemblies and components to ensure quality and accuracy
• Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or material shortages
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments as needed
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Assist with inventory, material handling, and other production duties as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of quality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements of the Assembly Tech:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or winding is a plus
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work orders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive hand movements
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
