Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision structural and system components
• Interpret prints, drawings, charts, sketches, work instructions, process specifications, and verbal/electronic instructions
• Perform functional testing and verify the fit, form, and function of assemblies and components
• Use shop mathematics, precision measuring tools, and test instruments to complete assignments
• Utilize appropriate tooling to assemble components into subassemblies or finished items
• Verify completed work meets applicable work instructions, engineering specifications, and process requirements
• Identify and report discrepancies in accordance with established procedures
• Set up and operate conventional and/or CNC and fastening equipment involving less than simultaneous 3-axis movement
• Perform structural assembly and installation, sealing, subassembly work, door installation, integral fuel cell sealing, precision bench assembly, and pressure/vacuum testing as applicable
• Perform routine minor machine maintenance and basic preventative maintenance activities
• Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment and complete required transactions for the next operation
• Complete assigned work within established production schedules
• Support continuous manufacturing flow by assisting and training employees across classification levels
• Assist in training assembly personnel on assembly, installation, and inspection techniques
• Cross-train in inspection activities and become SIA qualified
• Maintain proper certification of equipment and tools in accordance with procedures
• Work overtime as required
