General Assembler - 2 Needed - KD

A manufacturing company is seeking an individual who will perform assembly work utilizing lean principles to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and carry out detailed work instructions
• Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools, and bench top pneumatic presses
• Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
• Promote and support a safe working environment
• Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
• Work effectively with others in a team environment
• Adhere to Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment
• Support and promote LEAN operations by following standard work
• Meet quality assurance requirements and complete documentation associated with same

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Previous assembly experience with small parts preferred
• Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation, maintain quality expectations, identify, communicate, and troubleshoot problems
• Must have the ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English
• Must be computer literate with accurate data entry and basic math skills
• Must have the ability to adhere to shop practices and support and promote LEAN operations
