Gastroenterology Physician

We are actively seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in New Mexico beginning September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities.

Position Highlights:
• Monday Friday schedule
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM onsite coverage
• No call, weekends, or holiday coverage required
• Ongoing assignment with long-term potential
• Primarily inpatient GI procedures
• Approximately 8 10 procedures per day
• Epic EMR system

Scope of Work:
The provider will primarily focus on inpatient procedures with minimal rounding responsibilities. Occasional consults may be required depending on patient stability and service volume.

Procedures Include:
• Upper GI Endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Esophageal Dilation
• Foreign Body Removal
• Banding of Varices
• Fulguration/Cautery Procedures
• Colonoscopy with Polyp Excision
• Adult Hepatology & General GI Procedures

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• ERCP and EUS experience preferred but not required
• Active New Mexico license preferred
