Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
You will operate or learn to operate forklifts, manage customer orders from printing to shipping, and help ensure inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Run ID/OD polishers to meet production and quality requirements.
- Perform air underwater hydro testing in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, or actively learn to operate them under supervision.
- Print customer orders according to scheduled dates and times.
- Pick customer orders accurately and in the correct sequence.
- Pack shipments in line with customer specifications and requirements.
- Label customer packages clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and routing.
- Stage and consolidate customer shipments when applicable to optimize loading and transport.
- Perform finished goods inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Replenish inventory in storage racks to support continuous production and order fulfillment.
- Assist shipment loaders with organizing, staging, and loading outbound orders.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification and operate forklifts in a safe and effective manner.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where maintaining throughput is critical to keeping the mills running.
- Communicate proactively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and address issues quickly.
Essential Skills
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with general labor and warehouse production tasks.
- Order picking experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Forklift operating experience, including sit-down forklifts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and operate forklifts safely.
- Experience with RF scanners for inventory and order processing.
- Material handling skills, including staging, replenishment, and loading support.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and customer requirements for packing and labeling.
- Comfort working in a high-volume environment where timely output is essential.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a non-union warehouse or manufacturing facility is helpful.
- Experience with finished goods inventory cycle counts is a plus.
- Familiarity with hydro testing or similar testing processes is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes, including ID/OD polishers and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail when handling customer orders, labels, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-shift team.
- Reliable attendance and strong communication habits, especially regarding scheduling and time off needs.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beloit, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
