EPG/CVG WELDER-FITTERS
Engineered Products Group Full-time On-site Sharpsville, Pennsylvania
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, First Shift 5:00AM Start
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, bills of material, and job specifications.
- Lay out, fit, assemble, and weld custom-fabricated tanks and pressure vessels.
- Fit vessel shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, jackets, supports, and related components.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Complete welds in various positions while maintaining required quality and dimensional tolerances.
- Use grinders and other fabrication tools to prepare materials and finished welds.
- Measure and verify parts and assemblies using tape measures, squares, levels, and other measuring equipment.
- Follow shop-order documents, work instructions, welding procedures, and established manufacturing practices.
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
- Inspect completed work for weld quality, fit-up, dimensions, and conformance to drawings.
- Safely operate fabrication and material-handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work independently and collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and other production team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least one year of welding or metal-fabrication experience.
- Experience with TIG and/or MIG welding.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Basic fitting, layout, measuring, and fabrication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow established safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to successfully complete Sharpsville Container's applicable welding and fitting tests.
- Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous tank, pressure-vessel, piping, or custom-fabrication experience.
- Experience welding both stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Knowledge of ASME fabrication and welding requirements.
- Current or previous welding qualifications.
- Submerged Arc Welding experience.
- Experience operating plate rolls, positioners, plasma-cutting equipment, and other fabrication machinery.
This is an on-site industrial manufacturing position involving prolonged standing and walking, frequent use of the hands and arms, bending and reaching, material handling, production equipment, noise, and required personal protective equipment. Starting pay will be based on the applicant's experience, demonstrated welding ability, fitting skills, and welding qualifications.
