Talascend is currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Sterling, Virginia.

Overview

  • Experience with electronic assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to assemble hardware subassemblies using drawings, work instructions, and defined procedures.
  • Ability to perform product inspection, basic test verification, and quality checks against requirements.
  • Experience handling PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, harnesses, and commercial off-the-shelf components is preferred.
  • Ability to record traceability, inspection, and test data accurately.
  • Familiarity with controlled materials, including shelf-life verification requirements. Ability to identify, document, and help resolve assembly defects and nonconformities.
  • Working knowledge of quality-focused manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry level experience will be considered
  • Ability to follow diagrams and drawings accurately.
  • Comfortability working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform quality checks and troubleshoot assemblies.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
