OVERVIEWThe Director, Capital Redevelopment provides strategic leadership and oversight for Muskoka AlgonquinHealthcare's (MAHC) multi-site Capital Redevelopment Project.Responsible for all phases of redevelopment, planning and implementation, the Director leads governance capitalplanning, stakeholder engagement, financial stewardship, and project delivery in alignment with MAHC strategicpriorities, Ministry of Health (MOH) requirements, and healthcare infrastructure leading practices.The Director oversees the Capital Redevelopment PMO, including the Project Manager and project team, ensuringeffective governance structures, reporting, risk management, and operational readiness are in place to supportsuccessful project execution.
ROLE- Lead MAHC's capital redevelopment strategy, aligned with the Clinical Services Plan and long-term infrastructure priorities
- Provide strategic advice to the Senior Leadership Team, Steering Committee and Board of Directors
- Establish governance, accountability, and decision-making frameworks supporting redevelopment activities
- Lead preparation and submission of MOH and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) planning and approval requirements
- Accountable for redevelopment scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and overall project performance
- Oversee project management frameworks, PMO operations, consultant/vendor relationships, and contract management
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, and mitigation strategies to support successful delivery
- Ensure strong financial stewardship, forecasting, controls, and procurement oversight in collaboration with Finance and Materials Management
- Ensure compliance with Ministry requirements, Infrastructure Ontario methodologies, legislation, and applicable standards
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal leaders, clinicians, municipal partners, Indigenous communities, government agencies, and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Health Administration, or related field
- Master's degree in related field is desired
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare redevelopment, capital planning, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-phase capital projects in healthcare environments
- Strong knowledge of Ministry of Health capital planning processes and Infrastructure Ontario standards
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills

Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Hours of Work: Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4 pm. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements.
