Summary

The Wood Door Production team is responsible for installing hardware on doors, operating CNC router used in the shaping and processing of solid wood and veneer doors, as well as repairing doors on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial door hardware including locks, hinges, door closers, exit devices, electric strikes, and kick plates according to hardware schedulers and templates.
  • Operate CNC router to add wood door features
  • Visit job sites to diagnose and resolve hardware and door issues
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, CAD files, and job tickets to meet exact specifications
  • Perform regular measurements using tape measures, calipers, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Work closely with the Quality Control and Assembly teams to meet production goals
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and OSHA standards

Qualifications (Required)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational/technical school a plus
  • Willingness to learn a new skill
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements in inches and millimeters
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
  • Physically able to lift 50+lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong time management, communication, and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience with hardware brands such as Schlage, Von Duprin, LCN, Sargent, etc.
  • CNC router experience
  • DHI coursework or certifications (e.g., EHC, AHC) desirable
  • Forklift certification or material handling experience
  • Familiarity with fire-rated openings and ADA compliance standards
