CNC Lathe/Milling Set-Up/Programmer

Work for a Central New Jersey (Somerset County) area high quality, ultra-precision machine job shop. Making precision parts for the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries. CNC Lathe/Milling Set-Up/Programmer Our client is seeking a highly-skilled CNC Lathe/Milling Set-Up/Programmer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming and operating CNC Lathe/Milling machines, with a strong mechanical knowledge and background of various equipment and tools. Duties: - Interpret complex prints to program and machine parts from challenging materials on Okuma CNC turning centers - Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to produce parts according to specifications - Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers - Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols - Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize manufacturing processes - Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper tool selection for each job - Adhere to Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste Requirements: - 10 years of CNC machining experience - 5 years of CNC programming experience - At least 1 year experience with MasterCAM programming software - Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts - Familiarity with GD&T principles for part inspection - Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other various inspection equipment for quality checks - Okuma conversational programming experience - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices - Previous experience in tooling selection and maintenance - Familiarity of AS9100 standards Pay Range: $35-40/hour Jackson Tuapante Synerfac Technical Staffing Phone:
