About the Position

TransForce is seeking a dependable CDL A Driver to support local delivery operations for our client in Carol Stream, Illinois. This on-site position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, home-daily routes, and the potential for temp-to-perm employment.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay: $29 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start times: Between 6:30 p.m. and midnight
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment type: Temp to perm
• Work arrangement: On-site

Job Details

• Route type: Local delivery with home-daily routes
• Freight: Office supplies, paper, and furniture
• Delivery schedule: After-hours deliveries with key-code access
• Equipment: Automatic-transmission Class A tractor-trailer
• Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries using a pallet jack and liftgate; ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment on local routes.
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and safety standards.
• Complete required loading, unloading, and freight-handling tasks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
• Meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 70 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to safely handle freight and perform required physical duties.
