Make a Difference in Veteran Care
We are seeking experienced Cardiac Nurse Practitioners to support the Cardiology Division at the Veterans Administration Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside leading cardiology professionals while providing care to our nation's Veterans in Arrhythmia and Heart Failure programs.
Practice Locations
- West Los Angeles VA Medical Center
- Sepulveda VA Ambulatory Care Center
- Ventura Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)
Key Responsibilities
Manage patients with heart failure
Evaluate pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac implantable electronic devices
Conduct cardiac assessments and follow-up visits
Monitor Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETTs)
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic testing
Provide patient and family education
Document patient care in CPRS and maintain compliance with VA standards
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted NP license
- AGACNP or ACNP Certification
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Minimum 1 year outpatient cardiology NP experience
- Minimum 1 year recent direct patient care experience
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
- A Real ID (REAL ID - Cali DMV) or unexpired U.S. Passport required to move through the credentialing process
Preferred Qualifications
- VA healthcare experience
- Electrophysiology experience
- Heart Failure Program experience
- Device clinic experience (Pacemakers/ICDs)
Compensation
- $67.00 Base HOURLY RATE
- $ 5.42 Additional Hourly Rate Supplement Health Insurance Premiums and/or 401a
- 2 Weeks' Vacation Accrual
- 56 Hours Sick Time Accrual
