Aerospace Manufacturing Technicians - Assembly & Metal Straightening

Location: Woodinville, WA
Workplace Type: On-Site
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $20.00-$32.75/hour, depending on position and experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift

Position Summary

A confidential aerospace manufacturing company in Woodinville, WA is hiring for multiple hands-on production roles supporting the manufacture and assembly of precision aerospace components.

We are currently seeking candidates for opportunities in:

  • Aerospace Assembly
  • Check & Straighten / Precision Metal Straightening

These positions are ideal for candidates with experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assembly, precision production, metalworking, fabrication, inspection, or other hands-on manufacturing environments.

Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable following work instructions, drawings, quality procedures, and safety requirements.


Aerospace Assembly II

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:45 PM
Pay: $20.00-$32.75/hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly operations on aerospace structures, mechanisms, and structural subassemblies.
  • Assemble components such as doors, mechanisms, rudders, flaps, stabilizers, and related aerospace assemblies.
  • Follow manufacturing orders, drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
  • Align parts using jigs, templates, fixtures, and setup tools.
  • Perform fitting and fastening operations including:
    • Riveting
    • Nutplate installation
    • Bonding
    • Bushing installation
    • Bearing installation
    • Drilling
    • Reaming
    • Filing
    • Trimming
    • Deburring
  • Use hand tools, production equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Verify assembly quality and close-tolerance requirements.
  • Make approved modifications or rework to assemblies as needed.
  • Complete production documentation and support MRP data entry as required.
  • Package completed assemblies according to work orders and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of aerospace or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience with riveting, nutplates, bonding, bushings, or bearings strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing orders.
  • Basic blueprint reading ability.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with close tolerances.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.


Check & Straighten Operator - Aerospace

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:45 PM
Pay: $22.00-$24.00/hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Inspect aerospace parts for straightness, warp, bends, stress risers, and other conformity issues.
  • Work with tubing, shafts, pins, and precision metal components.
  • Primarily support thin-wall aluminum tubing, with occasional stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel parts.
  • Use dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Operate manual arbor presses and hydraulic-assisted presses.
  • Apply controlled pressure to straighten or correct parts within allowable limits.
  • Follow work orders, routings, customer specifications, notes, and production instructions.
  • Identify part conformity issues and determine appropriate correction steps within established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, production, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic blueprint reading ability.
  • Ability to read work orders, routings, and written instructions.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic understanding of metal forming preferred.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using arbor presses or hydraulic presses preferred.
  • Aerospace, metalworking, fabrication, precision manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
  • Experience with tubing, shafts, pins, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, or Inconel is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Depending on position:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, grip, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to use hand tools, fixtures, measuring equipment, presses, and production machinery.
  • Ability to work around aerospace components, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to approximately 35 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
